A 15th century coaching inn, The Crown comprises accommodation of fifteen en-suite bedrooms, a popular restaurant, Anton's Bistro.
Among The Penn Bar's claims to fames are that it was named after William Penn who preached from The Crown to a crowded Market Place in 1695 and, laterally to have been the exterior of the pub featured in the hit film Hot Fuzz.
The Penn Bar is comfortably furnished with three original fireplaces. There is a games machine, as well as a good collection of board games which are popular with customers.
The menu features favourites such as Battered Haddock and Fries, through to steaks from 'Priddy Good Beef' and The Crown's homemade burgers, including a delicious veggie option.
There are children's packs with colouring-in and stickers, to accompany the children's menu. Many dishes from the main menus are available in child-friendly sized portions.
