The main routes through Warwicksire are the M40 and M42. Atherstone and Market Bosworth are good stop over places when travelling across the M42 or the A5 near M69 Warwickshire is not just famous for Warwick Castle (which is well worth a visit with plenty of choice for places to stay and eat). There is also Stratford upon Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, and Atherstone - Did you know that Warwick University is ranked 3rd in the UK after Oxford and Cambridge!
Coleshill and Atherstone are convenient places to stay close to Birmingham city and NEC. In fact accommodation in Atherstone a small market town is plentiful, just outside Atherstone is The Bull at Witherley, a very tidy country pub with recently restored rooms offering bed and breakfast.
10 minutes before reaching Atherstone on the A5 is the Long Shoot with rooms for £25 a night.
